Butterflies, Bees and Holiday Trees

I’ve got to tell you, this summer, we’ve got some pollinators partying amidst our trees!! The Eastern Red Cedars you are fostering aren’t just great for holiday décor—they’re a host plant to over 30 varieties of caterpillars, including the Imperial Moth and the Juniper Hairstreak Butterfly. And, during pollination season, butterflies, bees, and moths seem drawn to our virginia pines - helping the wind move pollen between the male and female cones.

So, while Christmas feels a bit far off, I’m filled with gratitude this summer, knowing that the trees you’ve supported are not only growing strong but continuing to give back to the land, the pollinators, and our future.

Thank you, for being part of this journey. Together, we’re making this holiday season—and every season—so much brighter.

Wishing you a little Christmas/Holiday magic this summer!

With gratitude,
Elizabeth
